The Adelaide Bariatric Centre was established in 1995. The surgeons have performed more than 4000 weight loss surgeries for the treatment of morbid obesity. It brings together a multidisciplinary team of experienced, minimally invasive bariatric surgeons, bariatric practitioners, bariatric nurse, dietitians, personal trainer and a medical practitioner therapist. All team members are experienced and dedicated to the care and treatment of patients undergoing weight loss surgery.
Bariatric surgeons Associate Professor Lilian Kow (See here) and Mr Jacob Chisholm (See here) are at the forefront of weight loss surgery and care of people suffering morbid obesity. Both have a keen interest in new surgical and minimally invasive approaches for the treatment of obesity and have been supporters of the Danny’s Place adolescent program.
